I worked at Ross Stores full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

the only pro was that the salaries are very competitive

    Cons

There is no work/life balance- they expect you to work late and bring work home every night. Buyers are not trained to be managers and have no idea how to speak to, train and develop those working for them. This was the most hostile and abusive environment I have ever worked in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should listen to the assistants and find out what is really going on instead of looking at the bottom line.

I worked at Ross Stores part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

the hours were flexible, not anymore.

    Cons

managers ,supervisors treat employes like garbage

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I was injured 3 years ago working at the Whitehall's Ross .The management gave me a list of doctors that I could go get treatment only after The manager asked me lots of questions and blamed me because I got injured at work. The doctors list was very outdated. I had to find treatment on my own after dealing with management. Other people I know had been also injured thruout the years after I was gone and have sued the store because the managers work and push their employes to the bone for minnimum wage. There are better places to work that treat HARD Working employes with respect and dignity, look for a better job and future.
