I worked at Ross Stores part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, meet a various amount of people, rarely the same experience.

    Cons

Too much work for very little compensation, hours are very unstable, cleaning up after so called "adults." I guess this job is a good one for those who are barely starting in the workforce or going to school but other than that, I would suggest to stay away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Store managers are great, they can only work with what they are provided from corporate and honestly, it is not much.

I have been working at Ross Stores full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent health benefits, that is about it for pros.

    Cons

Absolutely no work life balance, no realistic career advancement opportunities unless you've worked with whomever recruited you. Lack of payroll is always an issue, and any learning or training you desire is not relevant to you because you are cashiering most of the time even as an ASM or Area Sup!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to the older ways of running a Ross store. That formula proved to be successful.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
