I have been working at Ross Stores full-time

    Pros

Pay, bonus and benefits are competitive and the work itself is simple.
Good for those that want to climb the corporate ladder.

    Cons

Heaviest workload amongst all Retailers, so be prepared for 60-70 hour work weeks.
Extremely level driven culture reflects poor taste and internal processes show a lack of understanding for the complex mix of generations within a team.
Regardless of department and skill sets, all work is project based. With project scopes in constant flux, it's challenging to close out a project at all.
Unforgiving environment overall with an incredibly high turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to understand your team members and learn strategies that would retain them.
Don't try to get ahead on the backs of your team members.
