Pros

Cons

low pay no hours
non-store mgt wont respond to concerns of employees in the stores
bias is rampant in the stores
very low morale
not enough payroll to make the stores effective
you are expected to be available all day everyday, so you cant have a life

I worked at Ross Stores part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The co-workers you meet. Learning new things

    Cons

Horrible hours, low low pay, they always want you to be in a rush by calling new customers over while the current one is still there, they force you to have the customers slide there creditcard beforeyour done scaning items.. Herassment gets you promoted to management.Sloppy customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You really need to watch your Store management alot better! I was told by a co-worker to preform a sex act on him and when i said no he called me terrible names in front of other coworkers and then he gets hired as a manager and still works there today( store 38) i could have sued as the coworkers would go to court with me but i left for a great job where i am treated with respect. Bottom line Ross upper management really needs to get there act together pay your workers more for the hard work they do instead of giving management a bonus they dont do anything bit sit in the office and promote herassment.

I have been working at Ross Stores part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Discounts, and meeting some great people/customers

    Cons

Hard work for low wages, favoritism among employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Store manager constantly talks on store ear piece about whatever she desires. It's a great distraction especially when you're providing customer service at registers. We would like for you to work instead of filling carts with recovery items for us to put back. Stop playing favorites and get rid of disrespectful FES with numerous customer complaints.
