Cons

No real downsides to working at Ross. Corporate HQ is in the Bay Area, with the merchant org in NYC and LA. There are opportunities in other locations as well.

    Pros

20% discount. Friendly employees, fun place to work

    Cons

    1. Break room for employees lacks paper towels to dry our hands on; when
we are out of paper towels, Ross provides toilet paper. Recently there were no paper
        towels nor toilet paper.
2, Ross maintains indoor temperature at 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit, even when it is 85-
92 degrees outside. Customers complain: they would have bought more clothes except
they were so uncomfortable. Ross is losing money due to high temperature and humidity.
    3. Ross hires employees then reduces hours of current employees to as little as 10 hours/wk.
    4. Manager is rude to customers and to employees.
    5. Shopping carts wheel treads have fallen off. Hummers need an alignment.

    Advice to Management

    None that will be taken.

    Pros

Good Corporate structure, great benefits, excellent pay and bonus

    Cons

Zone and regional management lead by intimidation. Constant beat down which leaves Store Management with a sense of "what's the use in trying"

    Advice to Management

CYA. Document every and I mean every discussion with your employees. Don't give anyone a 2nd chance. Write them up and get rid of anyone who is not a robot
