I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits besides pay.
There are a few good people but most everyone has blinders on and can't think outside the box.

Cons

Lack of leadership or accountability.
Do not listen to employee feedback.
Do not care of career path and could care less if you leave
Senior Management is disconnected from what is actually going on.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need a changing of the guard and need to streamline processes.

Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Royal Bank of Scotland

    Pros

There are some bright people and the facility is a very comfortable place to work.

    Cons

They are so hindered by their failures that they can not afford to hire people but rely on contractors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is broken and unlikely to really ever be fixed. I had never seen the word impariment in a financial statement before I worked at RBS. Thanks for the painful education.

I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland

    Pros

Work-Life balance is great, great cafeteria!

    Cons

Financial crisis hit this place hard and there is no longer much room to go upward. Good people are slowly leaving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you can't pay them better, give them more flexibility.
