Royal Bank of Scotland IBD

Summer Analyst (Former Employee) Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

ProsA large international investment bank - cross border deals are exciting; Had very talented colleagues and teamwork was very collaborative. Very steep learning curve and a lot of challenging work.

ConsLack of recources; The teams are top-heavy - too many senior bankers compared to analysts and associates; bad hours but not as bad as bulge bracket banks; Lots of miscommunication between international offices; hierachical structure

Advice to Senior ManagementRecruit more analysts! also be more open and flat
