A very educational stint

Intern In Structuring (Former Employee)
London, England (UK)

ProsThe pay is excellent; the team-mates are down to earth and wiling to teach you lots, your average MD is not inaccessible.

ConsThe company (to be fair, the industry as a whole) is not in the best of times. There is danger of the reduction of the workforce, present at all times. This will either motivate you lots, or will make your experience frustrating.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere is an atmosphere of hidden trepidation to do with anticipation for further reductions in workforce. This is hardly a plus.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

    Very relaxed environment, poor pay.

    Associate Director (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Nice people and a "Blitz spirit" make it a generally enjoyable place… Cons: The bank is trying to become less international so more and more work/job opportunities is/are focussed on the UK. The bank is still a long way… Advice to Senior Management: We are moving in the right direction even if it's a little heavy going right now.… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

A well paced working environment with work-life balance and flat organizational structure. good salary as a start

    Graduate Trainee (Current Employee)
    Singapore (Singapore)

I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland full-time for less than a year

Pros: Small teams, good relationship with team mates Good starting salaries and benefits Open communication and relatively easy access to senior management Really good graduate training… Cons: Have a sense of uncertainty of how this company will… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
