Pros

High turnover therefore opportunities to step up and learn abound. Easy access to senior management if you are willing to put in work.

I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

...prior to the government takeover. My review is based on that timeframe, which I understand is very different from now. Excellent pay and bonuses. Managers that had reasonable expectations and looked out for their employees. Allowed a lot of latitude to do the job as seen best fit. The very best earned promotions, the average kept their jobs, the worst got removed- just the way it should be. Outstanding benefits even compared to peer group.

    Cons

Upper management all in the UK, which meant USA employees sometimes felt left out. Missteps by a few cost a lot of people money and jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Things are different from when I was there so no comment.
