I had a phone interview with their Director of Marketing and Communications, who told me at the beginning of the conversation, "I only have 5 minutes, I'm very busy, and I don't really have time for this, but you have 5 minutes - go!" Talk about rude, but it gets worse... A day later a recruiter emails me to tell me that they're reviewing my application for the position. Hmm, that's weird, because I already has a "phone interview." Then I get a call from the recruiter today asking me what my salary requirements are, and to let me know that I WOULD BE GETTING AN INTERVIEW. So I'm excited all day, waiting to hear from the hiring manager about scheduling my interview. Then an email shows up from the recruiter that said after reviewing my resume they realized that I only have 4 years of marketing experience, not the 5 they were looking for (like 12 months really makes that big of a difference!) - AND THAT I WOULD NOT BE GETTING AN INTERVIEW. REALLY? WHO DOES THAT? HOW RUDE! Isn't this something they should have realized before they called me to tell me I would be getting an interview?
Inappropriate?
