Pros

Passionate and creative people, Rue La La has some truly great people and I miss many of my former coworkers, great office and good location, you can learn a lot here, Rue La La has a great reputation and working here will help your career

Cons

entrenched politics, glacially slow when it comes to adopting new technology and improving their technical platform, revolving door for CIO/CTO,

I worked at Rue La La full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great people, young energetic smart people galore, and managers with a lot of personality.
Big initiative to retool the core technology
Process is mostly Agile (whatever that means).
Management is big on the vision.
    Work hard & play hard

    Cons

Turn over is a problem in some department..
Management is often chasing the next shinny thing.
Parts of management turn over so continuity and knowledge can be difficult..
Promotion and training is not what it should be.
Back-end tools are clunky and old.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your folks, improve the day-to-day tools, and promote from within more.
