Former Employee - Bindery Worker in San Diego, CA

I worked at Rush Press full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

This is a decent company to use as a stepping stone in order to learn the ropes as far as printing and bindery work goes. A great company for learning about the process of printing from A to Z.

Cons

The equipment is old and dated. The supervisors show little or no interest in the quality of work that is produced. There is no loyalty or respect given to long term employees. Matter of fact this company usually gets rid of their long term employees because they either make to much or have accumulated too much vacation time. Most of the employees that worked in the Press Room and Bindery/Hand Bindery were under paid and over worked (myself included). I worked for this company for over 15 years and the turn over in employees was huge. Many employees that produced quality work were laid off and replaced with people who had little or no experience because the company didn't want to pay for the experience of true professionals.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to take charge, and focus. Get involved, and pay closer attention to the quality of work (or lack of) that this company produces.
