Basically satisfied.

Teaching Assistant (Current Employee) New Brunswick, NJ

ProsFor a PhD student, the TA work at Rutgers is not heavy so I can save a lot of time on my own research and study. Also the salary is comparatively higher than any other school I know in the New York area.

ConsAlso, for a PhD student, choosing a good advisor is an important key to the success in the graduate study. But the professors in Rutgers, especially in computer science department, are not sufficiently initiative and motivated. So, it's very hard for a PhD student to pursue a productive research experience here at Rutgers.
