I have been working at Ryan, LLC

Pros

Opportunity for growth, a lot of opportunity to learn and build a vast knowledge base, ample vacation time, employees who can't "hang" are weeded out by the workload - like minded coworkers

Cons

Pay is low, "myRyan" is supposed to be a guilt free flexible work environment, but guilt for time off and pressure to work more hours definitely exists and is prevalent throughout the company, antiquated technology impedes working at home when you actually can

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fairly distribute engagements between teams, raise pay

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Ryan, LLC are the flexible hours, bonus compensation, and opportunity to grow professionally.

    Cons

The increase in base salary could be more competitive and working from home is not as efficient as working from the office because accessing files and databases operate very slowly.

I have been working at Ryan, LLC

    Pros

Ryan is at the forefront of providing a great atmospere for work/life balance. The MyRyan program along with good benefits, excellent learning opportunities, challenging work are all pluses. The bonus portion of the compensation plan can be a major plus for certain practice areas, allowing for high earning potential.

    Cons

The base compensation is much lower than at comparable firms. The purpose of this is to provide incentive to earn the monthly bonus allocations from revenue. This works very well for some practice areas but leaves others, which have different business models, woefully under compensated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While consistency in procedures and policies can be a good thing, not every procedure or policy can be applied to every practice situation. A bit more flexibility would be advised on these issues. Also, a closer look should be given to compensation policies.
