I worked at SABIC full-time for less than a year

Pros

Mostly great people and great products. Broad product portfolio. Technical support people are excellent.

Cons

Very transactional. Still carries the GE arrogance from time to time. Higher pricing than competitors isn't always warranted.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus needs to be on developing long term relationships with customers. Too much focus is on the short term business goals of the organization.

I have been working at SABIC as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Working with different countries, good vacation time, great benefits. I like having the secure building also. Overall a great place to work.

    Cons

There is not much to say other than the fact that they need to have more standard operation procedures in place for newer employees and should have more training on the system that they use.

I have been working at SABIC

    Pros

Good place to learn in the beginning of the career. Quite refined practices are in place for everyday processes. Low cost of living might be a plus for some.

    Cons

Management is pretty arrogant and seem like they do not care about you. Mundane/boring location. HR is not great at managing employee motivation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to be more aware of the issues that their subordinates go through in their heads. If they do so, the subordinates will get the job done and will be motivated to do more at the end of it.
