I have been working at SABIC

Pros

The company is really interested in being in the industry, not just making money.

Cons

Despite being a global organisation, the opportunities are quite limited geographically.

I have been working at SABIC as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

It's the best first internship where you can get your foot in the door to the business world. They treat you like an adult and not some lowly intern.

    Cons

I think the only con is that sometimes the work is not challenging enough in the long run, which can make you burnt out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think that intern turnover is way too high and that the biggest problem facing retention is the pay received and work load. I would say there are too many interns, which can make the work load too light sometimes.

I worked at SABIC as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    -Many opportunities
-The pay was good (especially for an internship)
    -Flexible hours
    -Good work/life balance
-It was only for a summer.

    Cons

-The projects there were trivial (low impact, easy to get done, but ultimately unsatisfying).
    -Bad site location
    -Long commute
    -Could not work overtime

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There were way too many meetings during the day, and most of them were a complete waste of time and just an excuse for people to talk. They should cut down on the number of meetings. It seemed more like a ritual than an actual useful function.
