I worked at SAE International

Pros

Decent Salary for The Area, Pretty Campus, Good Health Benefits

Cons

Unqualified people in Management Position. Cronyism, Secrecy and Overly Political. New Executive running organization lacks vision and has changed culture from openess to one of intrigue and division.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start caring more about the organization than your personal career paths, or soon it will no longer exist. Your lack of vision is killing a 100 year plus organization.

Nothing specific...Overtime work happens very often...Small office space...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people. Move to better, quiet location away from the center of the city.

I worked at SAE International full-time

    Pros

Great benefits. Employment provides access to top automotive professionals through the business. SAE also hosts events and creates publications, providing additional opportunities to meet, interact, and experience a spectrum of the automotive-related industries. Adequate in-house gym and cafeteria are easily accessible. Some exercise classes/clubs run on premise.

    Cons

Internal department to department communication is poor. Groups are territorial to the point of negatively impacting project completion and quality. Significant operational inertia: the 100 year old company does not change quickly. Limited accountability: substandard work is not often improved.
