Pros

SAIC has a great benefits package and overall compensation in my particular field is above average for my local area.

Cons

As a government contractor positions are contingent upon contract wins. If a contract is lost many of employees on that contract have to find new positions within SAIC on their own.

Management & Administrative Support are spread across the country and change constantly, so in many cases employees end up feeling like a number.

Advice to Management

Reach out to employees on an individual basis. Mass e-mails are not a good approach for every situation.

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Professionalism
    Competitive salary
    Annual salary increases
    Generous reimbursements

    Cons

The newly established "Ethics Hotline" is being abused by poor performers and those who are about to be laid off. It is common knowledge spreading amongst employees that you will NOT lose your job or be laid off if you file any sort of ethics complaint. It's being used as a form of job security by the incompetent and irrelevant.

    Advice to Management

Investigate the unethical use of the "ethics hotline" It is being used as manipulative tool to tie the hands of human resources and supervisors.

    Pros

Great networking abilities, ability to work all over the world with diverse cultures and get access to interesting projects with large clients.

    Cons

Sometimes left out on your own in certain countries, as the US was always the main focus and where the power lay, and international business didn't seem as important.

    Advice to Management

Think about getting feedback from management from all over the globe on strategies, priorities and especially how we work with clients so not to promise things which cannot be delivered in the future.
