I have been working at SAIC

Pros

Great experience to work with latest tools and technologies. Company really appreciates talent. I joined SAIC in November and got my first raise in April which was within 6 months. Haven't had that ever before.

Cons

No flexibility. Sign in and out stuff.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to work on employee career management. Although they say they have resources, they aren't very helpful.

I have been working at SAIC

    Pros

Pay was outstanding. Some very, very smart people working there. Work/life balance never an issue ... until performance review time.

    Cons

A little kid who won't grow up. Like Little Bo Peep, SAIC has lost its way and doesn't know what to do. So many opportunities to change for the better, but the employees who have been there for decades and remember the pre-IPO days + severely risk-adverse BOD + good ole boy network = a company that is being left in the dust by its competitors. Its Glory Days are long gone, but only the newer folks see it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop thinking about the past and start moving towards the future. OPEN YOUR EYES, EARS AND MIND. SAIC cannot survive holding on to the Beyster business model. Move past the fear of risk! Listen to your change agents, they know what they're talking about! Good luck.
