I have been working at SAIC full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

The company looks out for people. Raises have been OK. You have to work hard to get noticed since there are a lot of good people.

Cons

Contract work. Contract could end at any time. Always dealing with a pissed off customer.

I worked at SAIC as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I had the best supervisors and management available. I would work for this company again in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.

    Cons

Staying with the company depends on the whims of the government. Its a contracting job, so if you are worried about stability, then this might not be for you.

Former Intern - Lab Intern in McLean, VA

I worked at SAIC as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The intern program was very organized as a whole. There were many opportunities to meet other interns with the company. The atmosphere seemed very laid back. Many of the employees in the office were very willing to include the interns when going to lunch along with other activities outside of work. This made the workplace very comfortable as a new intern.

    Cons

It would have been better if the mentors assigned to the interns could have work for them to do. This would help greatly to facilitate the learning curve for the interns.
