Pros

I have worked for SAIC for over 10 years as a software developer, and there are some really smart, caring, trustworthy people working for the company. SAIC is small compared to the heavyweights like Lockheed, Boeing, and BAE, but they're able to win contracts thanks to their reputation. Lots of jobs if you're flexible, well rounded, or willing to relocate.

Cons

Competition between divisions and lack of communication hampers their ability to execute. Company size makes it hard to compete with bigger competitors.

    Pros

The salary was appropriate for the level of experience and credentials. Fair.

    Cons

Poor Management. No organization. Once hired, there was absolutely no direction in my role/support on the team. For 3 months I did absolutely NOTHING! I was hired to support a specific project but it never happened. I was also told during the interview the project was for good 3 years. The manager ended up leaving company and then the project was cancelled after 9 months.

  2. Horrible company, the worst company I have ever worked for!!!

    Pros

Only the two listed below: good work/life balance competitive pay

    Cons

Buddy system for promotion management have no respect for employees High employee turnover

    Advice to Management

Stop operating on the buddy system to promote your friends to positions where they do not have the education, experience or technical skills. Then you will be able to retain highly qualified educated professionals.
