SAIC – “Everything depends on your Division”

Pros

The work environment is fantastic. There is a great work/life balance, and I have met some of the best people during my 6 years. My division has allowed me grow my career and interface with senior level military.

Cons

You are really constrained to the work that your division does. If you want to move to another project outside of your division you have to apply just like a person who is not employed by the company. The career path is not that well defined and again depends on your division's management.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management is trying to retain people, but they need to improve the way employees move throughout the company. Searching for open jobs via a hiring portal is not an efficient way to keep talented people within the company.
