    Pros

Provided an opportunity to work with people I enjoyed doing work that I enjoyed.
Freedom to use my Knowledge's, Skills and Abilities in various ways.

    Cons

Got "Hurt" by Corporate Reorganization - not performance related.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When organizational realignments occur, which they will from time-to-time, give preferential hiring consideration to those terminated through no fault of their own.

I have been working at SAIC full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Talented people across a wide base of career fields, supporting virtually industry leaves a lot of room for career growth. The new company design affords ample opportunities for training, advancement, and relocation for those interested in travel.

    Cons

Occasionally poor communication from upper management, historically silo'd areas of operation. New company uses a matrix org., which may address some of that - but it hasn't really flushed out yet; leaving many employees confused about roles and responsibilities. Recruitment and advancement opportunities not well advertised, and unless you're at a HQ location, likelihood of promotion beyond line management are slim.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Engage employees more fully in the decisionmaking process, and communicate rationale in a clear way that includes analyzed alternatives. Seek talent out from within.
