Pros

Stable company with longevity. Good training opportunities and resources for employees.

Cons

So big that it's easy to become lost.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Needs to be an easier system for finding other contract opportunities within the company should your contract be ending.

    Pros

Management tries hard to find support for employees who lose coverage, which makes it pretty stable employment in a competitive environment.
Management is very supportive of continued education--the company will pay tuition.

    Cons

The quality of management varies tremendously depending on location.
There is no path for career advancement in some divisions.
The corporate environment isn't what it was during the good old "employee owned" days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't focus so much on the short-term bottom line. Don't lose talent because temporary lack of support lowers profit margins.

    Pros

Dependent on job, very flexible working hours. Ability to work from home when needed. If you are junior and not certain your career path there are many different types of projects to work on. Technical people have outstanding skills and are great resources.

    Cons

Too many reorganizations and little direction in future work. If you are not on one contract, there is a lot of pressure to achieve an unrealistic amount of billable time. For such a large company individual offices have little administrative support. Very little dollars or time spent on training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the people you have. Spend some time and money to expand your employees' skills so they can advance within the company.
