Pros

Job with a mission - government oriented
Good employee support although communication could be better

Cons

Military mindset throughout company - could stand to be more business oriented
No clear career path. Promotions are there but you have to find your own way

Advice to Management

Work more as a commercial business and less as a military subsidiary. Focus on revenue, profits and customer satisfaction.

    Pros

Ability to migrate between business units within the company
    quality workforce
    education reimbursement
    stable, fortune 200, recession proof

    Cons

corp management in chainsaw mode, ensuring that their bonuses are large irregardless of consequences
most talented employees (those with the most options) are leaving or have left the ship
    choked with middle managment
good old boy's club keeps detrimental middle managers on board, despite obvious faults
went from being one of the best IT companies to work for (many polls) to not on any positive polls
The only way to get a decent pay increase is to leave (and maybe come back)

    Advice to Management

Get back to core values (from employee owned days)
stop worrying about positioning the company for sale
stop acquiring companies without sufficient operation and merger plans
stop shielding worthless managers just because they are ex-military/friends
wake up and realize your #1, single most important resource is your employees
REWARD YOUR EMPLOYEES WITH FINANCIAL COMPENSATION (not just bonuses for the top 2%ers)
