I worked at SAIC

Pros

Great culture that challenges the mind and provides a great environment for any individual looking to advance in their career.

Cons

Traffic getting to and from work always a challenge but it is the Washington DC area so I really can't complain since there is always traffic.

SAIC is good but lots of lay-offs now.

I have been working at SAIC

    Pros

SAIC is very flexible with hours, days off, ability to work from home and last minute personal problems we all encounter.

    Cons

Since going public, SAIC has done a lot of restructuring and the entire A/R staff is being let go in lieu of cheaper labor in Huntsville, AL.
The severence package is ridiculously low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider more heavily the lives you are affecting when taking cost-saving measures. We all know that lay off's happen but you can't brag about all the cost-saving measures you're implementing while the employee's are on their 90 day notice and looking for new jobs that are scarce.
