The onboarding process is challenging, but the ecosystem is one of the best I've experienced.

I have been working at SAP full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

It has been a wonderful experience working for SAP and the benefits are good. It would be better if there were good growth prospects within the company.

    Cons

After you reach a certain stage, there are no more ways to grow your career. It is a bit top heavy with too many managers/executives doing too many things. The company has strong challenges on the services side from an execution perspective. Work Life balance is almost impossible to achieve in certain roles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to improve on work life balance especially on the consulting side and find ways to grow people's careers.

I have been working at SAP as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

The communication is a big factor that works for SAP. Teams can collaborate globally and get projects accomplished.

    Cons

The transition from a contractor to an employee takes longer than expected. In some cases, there is no transition and the talent of the contractor is lost.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Know the strengths and weaknesses of individual team members. It helps when a manager interacts with different people. Not all people are the same and each employee may react differently to the leadership styles.
