I worked at SAP as an intern for less than a year

Pros

catering, smart people to work with, great projects

Cons

intern compensation low compared to other silicon valley compensations. Understandable with big companies unable to compensate their employees as much as startups though.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep up the good work!

I worked at SAP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Opportunities to work with people from different countries. Chilled out atmosphere, college-like environment. Get to work on different products in the suite.

    Cons

Work could get repetitive if you do not actively shift teams. Some teams do excellent research work, but not all. Depends on where you get posted.

I have been working at SAP full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    - Good work life balance
    - Decent benefits
    - Good job security
    - Pay is on par with other bay area companies

    Cons

    - Green card process starts only after 4 years of joining the company
    - Too much hierarchy and bureaucracy
    - Changes are slow and adoption of new technologies is also slow

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management doesn't give importance or pay heed to development team concerns. Only product management and sales teams have visibility even though the development teams work really hard.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
