I have been working at SAP

    Pros

SAP pays well, provides generous benefits and has a valuable brand name.

    Cons

SAP has lost its edge and is floundering in its efforts to reinvent itself to survive the rapid decline of the ERP market it once dominated. The company is handicapped by its own arrogance, rampant cronyism and ruthless culture.

It rewards those that add no value but are masters of toeing the line and preserving the status quo.....and it punishes those that actually know what they're talking about and dare to speak up about changes needed for the company to succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and clean house --- stop rewarding all the 'yes' men and bullies that are driving the company into the ground.

    I worked at SAP

    Pros

Employee friendly.Especially the Bangalore Campus. Most of the work which earlier used to be done using ABAP is being done now in JAVA

    Cons

Nothing except that most of the work happens on ABAP. But a few teams are shifting to JAVA and C++.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

managers are specific to a particular domain at SAP. they are masters of the domain they are working on but, i think they need to have knowledge about other domains as well
