SCLHS was a horrible place to work, especially in the IT Dept.

Pros

Exempla Healthcare, before SCLHS took over, was a great place to work. Friendly, dedicated co-workers.

Cons

Gross mis-management in the IT Dept. Lack of honesty and open communications from the Sr. Director and the Directors that report to him. SCLHS cares more for the bottom line than they do the patients and thier families.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

All Management below the CIO need to be fired for gross negligence.

    Pros

Friendly, dedicated coworkers in most areas.

    Cons

This organization discriminates against married gay employees. If you are gay and married you have zero chance of covering your loved one with benefits. This is despite the fact that SCLHS maintains their own health care fund for employees in the Cayman Islands and invests in multiple hedge funds. SCLHS owns the Exempla system in Colorado as well as other sites in Kansas and Montana. The care patients receive is not exceptional. They just run community hospitals I would not recommend to my family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Acquire the gastrointestinal fortitude necessary to treat all of your employees equally under the Constitution of the United States of America.
