I have been working at SCO Family of Services full-time

Pros

Being able to keep a job in this horrible economy.

Cons

Lack of organization, under employed and lack of acknowledgment for contracts. Everyone seems to know what they are doing but no one is properly trained to handle the job at hand. The environment is stressful for the amount of pay. Overall, social work is very stressful. Its the nature of the business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees money that they are worth and take the stress off workers by giving them less of a caseload. Believe in your employees and that can complete the task at hand.

I worked at SCO Family of Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Doing something good for the less privileged population. It aids in your personal growth to help these people and seeing what other people go through. Good benefits.

    Cons

Leadership is very hierarchical and does not allow for open communication. The compensation is not so good, but it is not that unusual in the field of social work.very high turn over rate and that makes it hard to make meaningful impact on your clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your staff more and try not to be authoritative. And too much work load causes stress in the underpaid staff
