I have been working at SHPS

Pros – Lower level management attempts to put up a nice facade. The casual atmosphere is a plus. Time off is generally given as requested. The building is nice.

Cons – Morale is lower than I've ever seen, anywhere. Communication within upper management and the balance of the company is non-existent. No pay increase or even a cost of living increase in 5 years now. Very secretive to the point of almost appearing deceptive. Always covering their tracks. Not the place to work if you have a conscience. Absenteeism is a serious problem here. We do not ever hear from the 1% - they live in their world, we are forced to live in ours (no pay increases, decreased to non-existent benefits, etc....)

Advice to Senior Management – Balance in this workplace is sorely needed. If you choose to mandate healthier lifestyles, that does begin "at home" - meaning Management, rather than dining at plush restaurants, smoking, drinking, etc.... while mandating employees read corporate blogs promoting healthier lifestyles.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
