Pros

Great people. Interesting portfolio of projects globally.

Cons

No clear training program. HR is woeful with very little to add to the business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Over reaction to the corruption scandal has turned to over-correction. Business needs strong leaders who delegate and demand accountability. HR needs to be revamped to a dynamic and fluid body where it can handle better the issues that confront us daily and not just create procedures.

    Pros

    Good resources (library) and benefits

    Cons

Body shopping, unpersonal, non-professional. My mandate as consultant was to charge as much as possible to the customer, no matter the work was useful or not. Fired when mandate was completed, no new mandate was offered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Business ethic must be improved. Befriending with Muammar Gaddafi is one thing, treating customers and employees as cash cows is an other thing. No surprise the company is involved in bribery and money laundrying scandals.

I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits, generally pay overtime at hourly rates, quite unusual
New CEO, seems to be asking questions which is a great sign! Keep looking for answers Bob!

    Cons

    Old, outdated systems
    Corporate seem to be anti-technology
Reluctant to bring in outside advice, instead do things in house and keep falling further behind

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in consultants to take a look at the way the company is run. Anyone with an outside perspective will quickly see that things are not right!
