    Pros

1.Leading Canadian EPC company with major projects worldwide. 2.Lot of opportunities for career development 3. Ability to compete and win mega projects 4. Competitive salary and benefit package and HR policies

    Cons

1.Too much accommodation of client requirements/interference even if it's to the detriment of the project success. 2. Poor communication amongst the various levels of management, offices, and divisions. 3. Grown too big too fast, and unable to integrate the entities into "One Company" model

    Advice to Management

    1. Increase communication on projects, offices, entities, and obtain feed back through employee surveys with bottoms up approach. 2. Resist unreasonable client's interference in SNC-Lavalin's proven procedures and systems to deliver projects.

    Pros

Diverse project portfolio from continuing services to mega projects.

    Cons

Strained work environment. Departments & divisions simply unwilling to work with one another effectively. Middle Managers unable or unwilling to effect change. Promotion from within simply unavailable. Lack of focus on long term clients and key business relationships that help build the company over the decades.

    Advice to Management

Need to review Exit Interviews of the top performers who have departed to understand the underlying reasons of their departure. The independent silo mentality must be removed in order to promote effective cooperation between departments & divisions.
