SRA International – “Great company if you want stability”
Pros
Great benefits and training opportunities for employees, but you will get the most out of working for SRA if you're at a corporate site. The corporate support (HR, IT helpdesk, etc.) are very efficient, especially for employees working at off-site locations. SRA will also bench employees for much longer than any other contractor, upwards of several months, until they find new work.
Cons
If you work at a client site, expect limited interaction with senior management. There is a tendency for new managers to hire people they've previously worked with regardless of whether or not they can do the job. Managers also aren't interested in moving you up if you're in a billable position.
Advice to Senior Management
Require that client site management have corporate experience before sending them off-site. Senior managers should make an effort to visit off-site employees at least quarterly.
