    Pros

A number of highly talented consultants with the ability and ambition to be successful. Some very credible and extremely respectable managers/team leaders. A strong historical reputation/brand within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.

    Cons

Control freak leadership style that prefers to surround itself with submissive yes men. A large majority of the senior management appear to get away with doing no real work. Micro-management approach and over-obsession with KPI's and ticking boxes. A lack of real strategy and forward thinking, with a reactive 'hole in the bucket' approach from leadership. No real investment or ambition to grow the company without instant return on investment, placing huge pressure on new employees. Out of touch bonus structure that changes regularly (never for the benefit of the employee). Poor communication from the top down, usually delivered in a dictatorial or patronising style (via email). Unsurprisingly, a high turnover of staff at all levels.

    Advice to Management

Significant investment needed to realise it's true potential. Emphasis needs to be placed on attracting, retaining AND developing talented individuals rather than assume everyone thinks it's the best place to work in the world. Leadership needs to adapt to a changing market and develop the ability to move with the times in terms of employee engagement and rewards.

I have been working at SRG full-time

    Pros

Very supportive management if you are willing to put the work in. Much more of a consultative agency than others in the industry seem to be. Opportunities to train and progress.

    Cons

Culture is very different between offices. Generally, the ones in larger cities seem to be a lot more vibrant.

    Advice to Management

Usually, the level of support is really good. However, when the numbers are running low, the response seems to be to micro-manage and request constant progress updates, which can be time-consuming and distracts from getting the job done.
