Pros

SSP America provides a great working environment for Bartending. Easy hours, extremely good tips, built-in sales, smoke-free workplace.

Cons

Sometimes co-workers and management tend to be less than stellar. To be expected with minimum wage workers. Union in a right-to-work state tends to muddle management-employee relationships.

    Pros

I liked the employees, and some of the management.

    Cons

Food kept in the Danger Zone. I would not consume any food from their locations. Refrigeration Units were not repaired after addressing the issue multiple times with my supervisors, I worked 90-100 hours a week, 7 days a week the first 2 months I was employed. Out of product on a continuous basis. Have to order product from a central commissary that is overwhelmed, and staffed with inexperienced foodhandlers. The airport is completely rat infested. (Dead rats in the ceilings!) Underpaid Management and Employees. When SSP Corporate comes to visit, all problems are hidden, and not addressed, or repaired.

    Advice to Management

Get your stuff together. That place is a kitchen nightmare! Unhealthy, and unsafe. I still have their current employees calling me for employment, and telling me horror stories. I am sure SSP will get it together, but not sure the current upper Management at this location can do it.They need help!! As far as I know, SSP at this location has lost at least 3 of the Management team in the 6 months it has been in operation. GET A CLUE!

    Pros

Ability to work by self, early shift hours, routine.

    Cons

Expectations of manager, and discrimination of employees based on seniority.

    Advice to Management

Think as a team, not as a individual.
