I have been working at STG full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    STG's medical benefits were decent

    Cons

Employees were grossly underpaid. STG had me contracted to a government office that decided to drop STG, and pick up another contractor. The new contractor then hired me to work the same contract. With the new contractor my pay went up by 20% and the government office paid less on the new contract. Evaluations were a farce. We hardly ever saw STG's program manager. He barely knew us, and had no base of knowledge or observation (never saw him talking to govie supervisors) from which to write his evaluations. He was also very unresponsive to employee requests regarding human resources, benefits, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Conduct more market research so you know what your employees should be paid. Hire program managers that have a good track record dealing with people (please stay away from creepy sycophants), and probably give them fewer contracts to manage.
