I worked at STIHL Incorporated full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great Benefits, clean environment, good co-workers. Good pay if you can overlook management.

    Cons

If you are a machinist, get ready to work for leads and managers that throw common sense out the window.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your workers that have years of experience and you will find it works out better for you. Quit putting too much work on a few select employees, while letting some get away with anything they want(like standing around talking in front of the few that work hard)!

I have been working at STIHL Incorporated full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Challenging work load, very fast paced and interesting work, easier if you have an Engineering Degree. Travel opportunities abound.

    Cons

Very harsh management, high turnover and no legacy knowledge sharing with new hires. Training is selective as far as the usable transfer of info. Senior management can be unreasonable and abusive and this trickles down thru the ranks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop management by fear especially with relocated employees. See the value in long term employees
