SUPERVALU – “Poor place to work, even poor place to shop and worst place to invest”

Pros

when you don't have any other option, supervalu is a transitional place. The place for the most part has folks with long tenures and like most typical retailers hires the bottom dwellers. Those bottom dwellers have no goals in life and stick around for ever. Some of these same people eventually somehow make it to the top and are very very insecure, horde information, are elitist, lack depth, cannot think out of the box and dont like those who do. Are not ready to challenge the 100 yr old assumptions of retailing and merchandising. These people dont understand analytics and what ever they do is super simplictic and many times close to being wrong.

Cons

incompetent leadership; self centered leaders trying to push their very own agenda; insecure, horde information; elitist and dont share information; are always looking to copy other retailers they even have an acronym for it (copy shamelessly); lack risk taking; lack broad thinking; like herds they will use terminology, jargon without even thinking and understanding the depth.

The worse thing of it all is they are mostly a bunch of brown nosers who are always trying to impress some moron up above them so as to get their position may be transition into a corporate role.

They treat staff like dirt, MAJOR MICRO MANAGERS!

open your mind (you dont know everything or more so anything)
the difference between an animal and a human is the brain they have and should be using it
