I have been working at SYGMA Network

Pros

The possibilities to make really good money is there always different incentives and extra work to do also pretty decent staff

Cons

Our off days suck and sometimes your loads are seriously screwed up also management doesn't here or care sometimes which makes it harder on the driver. Not organized very well in transportation

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the drivers were the ones doing the work who better to listen too to work problems out than us. Also get better with keeping these trucks in better condition.

Tough economic times drives Sygma to cut head count instead of focusing on growth and improvements.

    I worked at SYGMA Network

    Pros

Sygma pays it employees very well compared to the industry average for front line employees.

    Cons

For supervisors and managers, the financial return is less than industry average. Many managers I had worked with were looking for new jobs within the first year of employment. The managers are pushed beyond their limits. Upper management puts on a good face but behind the doors its just the opposite.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cutting head count to save a quick buck just to make the bottom line look good does not mean its the right choice. Try focusing more on building positive relationships (not lying) with your employees and you just might see an improvement in production.

I have been working at SYGMA Network

    Pros

Fully funded pension if you're there long enough to qualify. Many employee discounts and purchase program. Stock Purchase program and 401K.

    Cons

Pay is low for managers; bonus structure is unrealistic and unattainable; don't be tempted by bonus because you won't get it. New hires have no vacation time to utilize. Unusual for an exempt employee to start with no vacation time and to have to acrue it. Sr. Management unwilling to really negotiate to get qualified people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change your time off system and give people time off to start; negotiate salaries and time off; give a better match on 401k; inprove your exempt level salaries
