I worked at SYKES full-time for less than a year

Pros

Good teacher for customer service class, opportunities to advance, many types of job choices after completing customer service representative job

Cons

Not enough staff to handle the number of trainees they are attempting to train, training went in some cases from 3pm to midnight. Very long hours.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop changing the rules of the employment picture, changing shift hours, making 11 hour day, expanding work hours, added hard selling to the job as opposed to just mentioning product

    Pros

    I was promoted to manager at Sykes within three months, over dozens of more senior people. They recognize talent.

    Cons

    Since the positions are contract, there is much uncertainty..

    Need to increase job security for star employees, possibly offering relocation.

    I worked at SYKES full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    This was a work from home position, which I enjoyed,

    Cons

    Your evaluated mostly on your ability to mostly turnaround Customers that were already dis-satisfied with the company and leave them with feeling completely satisfied or your performance was scored as less than satisfactory. Only 9-10 on surveys were satisfactory. This is not easy when customers are being incorrectly billed and receiving poor service
