I worked at Sabre full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Leader in Travel technology. A lot of friendly co workers. Emerging technology and exciting projects in the pipeline

Cons

Too many non technical project managers. Most middle managers are inept including some at the VP level.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Man up and take some bold decisions.

    learn many facets of business
    high revenue growth historically

    current business modl under great pressure
    margin and profits/revenues declining

    doing a good job just need to expand new revenue more quickly via new business model

    I have been working at Sabre

    Pros

    Flexible and open to tying new ideas. They are focused on constantly improving how they do business. They are committed to giving back to the community by donating time and money.

    Cons

    While Sabre does a a good job of staying nimble for a large company, they still have a lot of the red tape and policies of a large company. We are working two people to a cube, parking is hard to come by and the office is far away for many employees including myself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I love how you keep us informed about industry news and Sabre initiatives. Having a desk to work at every day would help a lot.
