Sabre – “Good and Bad”

Pros

Good Work Life Balance, Interesting Projects, Had chance to travel and work on customer sites. Good 401k benefits, Medical was good, Vacation time off was good.

Cons

As I came in at a below average salary, I never was able to get to a compensation level which was appropriate for my skillsets. Management in general was very poor, very reactive, very risk-averse, not willing to think out of the box. Good performance did not translate into promotions or higher pay. SABRE gave me increased responsiblity without the pay or title. Communication was very poor between management and workers. Layoffs occur yearly.

Advice to Senior Management

More transparency between Management and employees. Management needs to encourage thinking outside the box. Yearly Layoffs are very bad for morale.
