Former Employee - Marketing in Redwood City, CA

Pros

Decent product mix and portfolio offering.

Cons

Leadership tends to be average people that were picked off from other companies. Lots of cronyism. No investment in investing in product development. Lots of posturing of leaders without much follow thru.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in product innovation and don't window dress the company to look attractive for a sale without shoring up the basic tenets of what makes a company move from good to great.

Doesn't Recommend
Neutral Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Will hire capable people with promise rather than require all the "ayes dotted and tees crossed." Room to develop career skills. Technically interesting work. Product line needed in today's marketplace. Great work from home, remote worker policies. Competent people don't need to spend more than forty per week to get the job done.

    Cons

Structure way too distributed for a company of this size: teleconferences with participants in Tel-Aviv, Noida, Redwood City, Ottawa, Belcamp, and Camberly at the working staff level are common. Way too many products with many products behind the curve on features and performance. Management is not held accountable at any level. Serious disconnects between executive silos, for example sales and marketing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Eliminate redundancies in the product line. Upgrade all hardware and software to meet standards that have been common for 18 months or so. Push future partner and strategic sales and marketing growth without jeopardizing existing direct relationships.

    Recommends
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
