Pros

good starting job, easy to stay employed, training, time scheduled in advance and dependable to clock out on, well staffed, no drama or jealousy between staff, a kind yet firm general manager not afraid of

Cons

sexual harassment, heavy accents were hard to understand

Advice to ManagementAdvice

General opinion about the assistant managers matter a lot to job satisfaction. Amicability, clean communication, and professional interactions are important.

    I have been working at Safeway (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great way to get a lot of experience in a short period of time. Very tenured workforce, people tend to be lifers. Good people to work with and good collaboration amongst certain department.

    Cons

    Little Work Life Balance. Pay is not competitive and few opportunities for promotion. Not a lot of recognition for a lot of effort and can be draining at times.
