This was ok as a temporary job or could be better as someone's second job. Fast paced and heavy traffic.

Pros

I liked that I belonged to a union, that is always nice. And also I enjoyed the steady raises and teamwork.

Cons

Understaffing would be difficult to work under especially when we were busy. And seniority ranking by time instead of productivity

    Pros

    Good coworkers. Tuition reimbursement. Cafeteria

    Cons

Unless you came through the stores you will be marginalized no matter how much education and outside experience you have. Currently have a bunch of buyers without college degrees given "executive" positions showing how little they value formal education. I guess that stock will never get where it use to be with a bunch of baggers and checkers in the executive ranks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a reason the military very seldom makes officers out of grunts without college degrees. You offer tuition reimbursement and they still don't have the brain power to get an education. Doesn't that tell you something? Hello! Too easy to be in denial than admit you have mostly morons for buyers. Still smart enough to steal from the company I guess though. Kickbacks rule! Lmao

    Pros

They do actually have decent benefits once you work there long enough, that is really about it

    Cons

Nobody cares about you, you are left to fend for yourself out there. The only way to get ahead is if you kiss a lot of behind, and I mean a LOT of behind. There is no such thing as having your hard work pay off over there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop continuing to make this industry into the joke that it is. It is time for new blood to come in and save not only this company but this entire industry. Take a look at what Trader Joe's,Nugget Markets and Whole Foods are doing and take a page or two from their playbook. They are obviously doing something right if they are keeping the people who work for them happy. It is about time that the people who work for you could feel the same way, too, instead of having employees looking to escape every chance they get. They deserve better.
