I have been working at Safeway full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

People willing to work with you for many things. If you are willing to put in the effort there are opportunities to move up within the company easily.

Cons

Union, while beneficial, can keep people stuck in lower positions. Pay is based off of your title, rather than experience and contribution to the company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think like you were a store employee, a lot of what you are doing is not helping the store employees.

I have been working at Safeway full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Most of your coworkers are nice people, and you're unlikely to be disciplined for any reason. The customers are easy to connect with.

    Cons

The pay is low, and the work can be monotonous. If you're starting out on the bottom, you'll have to deal with a lot of bureaucracy and inefficiency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask the people on the bottom rung what they need to keep the customers happy.
