overall great company, but pay needs to improve in order to remedy the stress of high turnover

I worked at Sage Hospitality full-time (more than a year)

Pros

upper level management likes to know each employee individually & seems to genuinely want to make the company better, friendly co-workers, department managers do their best to accomodate requests off, great hotel discounts

Cons

high stress and low pay, some managers know less than the employees they supervise, high turn over, being "on-brand" can be very smothering, initial training is lacking

Advice to ManagementAdvice

managers needs to spend more time actually on the front lines in order to understand the needs of the operation more effeciently. it is embarrassing when an associate is more knowledgeable than his/her supervisors. also, too many things fall through the cracks due to consistently being short staffed.

    Pros

    Happy, motivated employees who are well taken care of and treated with respect. The company has a strong community service reputation where everyone, including senior management and C-level participate in volunteer projects.
