great, smart, hard working, dedicated staff, opportunity for personal growth and learning

Cons

constant re-orgs, large corporate inertia, strategy changes, politics, want to innovate but can't, slow, not agile, US based egocentricity

Advice to ManagementAdvice

decide on a strategy, have some patience/invest and execute on it. can't grow by acquiring old established competitors products.

    I have been working at Sage North America full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - People in general are pretty nice
    - salaries are decent

    Cons

    - Office location is undesirable (very limited options for lunch or coffee, and public transportation)
    - a lot of office politics (you hear whispers constantly)
    - company structure doesn't lend to efficiency or collaboration
    - not a lot of room for growth (a lot of people have been with the company for a long time, but likely out of complacency, not due to growth opportunities)
    - no fun stuff for staff (company events are not well thought out, and lack luster)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    do more fun things for your staff! structure the departments more effectively to promote collaboration between teams!
